"This is the best
barbecue ribs recipe ever"

Country Style Barbecue Spareribs Recipe

We hear that comment about this being "the best barbecue ribs recipe we've ever tasted" a lot. It's a close adaptation of the barbecue spareribs recipe of O.B.'s Board, a little restaurant in the quaint mountain town of Truckee, CA.

This is a terrific barbecue sauce recipe for ribs and any other meat or seafood. Spicy, sweet, and tangy all at once, it's our favorite all-around barbecue sauce recipe. Enjoy.

Water to cover
Salt

O.B.'s Barbecue Sauce Recipe for Ribs

1 tablespoon butter
1-2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup catsup
1/3 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons minced onions
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon hot sauce
3 slices lemon

  • Simmer the ribs in salted water for about 20 minutes. Drain.

  • Combine all the barbecue sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

  • Place the ribs on a preheated barbecue grill or under the broiler and cook over/under medium heat until cooked through, about 20 to 30 minutes. Baste with the barbecue sauce during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

    Oven Cooked Ribs Directions:
