Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip Recipe
The Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip recipe transports all the famous flavors of Buffalo Wings into a dip... but none of the messiness. It's a layered dip served warm with scoops and/or crisp vegetables. If you like the wings, you'll like the dip. Everyone does.
Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (3 cups shredded, cooked chicken)
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
1 to 1 1/2 cups buffalo wing sauce, to taste (Texas Pete's is the original, hands-down favorite)
1 cup blue cheese dressing (bleu, if you prefer)
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Poach the chicken breasts in lightly salted water, turning once, until just cooked through, about 15 minutes. Remove them from the water and set aside to cool.
Meantime, whip the cream cheese and spread it over the bottom of a 9" X 13" baking dish.
Shred the cooled chicken by hand or in the processor. In a mixing bowl, stir the chicken and buffalo wing sauce together. Spread the mixture atop the cream cheese.
Now pour the blue cheese dressing over the chicken mixture and top with a sprinkling of mozzarella cheese.
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 20 minutes or until heated through. Ta da...! Buffalo Chicken Dip, ready to serve with celery sticks and scoops of all kinds.
In the unlikely event the dip lasts long enough to cool, you can warm it in the microwave.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
