Grilled Shrimp Recipe

Easy Garlic Shrimp

Nothing says 'easy barbecue recipe' like the Garlic Grilled Shrimp Recipe, below. Just skewer it, season it, grill it, baste it once, and eat. Refrigerator to mouth in just 20 mouthwatering minutes.

Grilled Garlic Shrimp

3 lbs. shrimp or prawns, 21-25 count or larger, peeled and deveined
Skewers
Salt and pepper
Granulated garlic*
1 cup melted butter
Lemon wedges, if desired

Thread both ends of the shrimp onto skewers through the back (deveined area) of the shrimp, forming a "C". Lightly season with salt, pepper, and garlic.

Cook over a medium-hot grill for about three minutes each side, just until hot, firm and pink. Do not overcook. (You may need to adjust the cooking time for larger prawns.) Baste each side with melted butter shortly before they are finished cooking.

Note: *You can also prepare this recipe with fresh garlic. Just add minced fresh garlic to the butter before melting it; eliminate the granulated garlic. Baste more than once.

Garlic Grilled Shrimp is delicious as is, with lemon wedges, or, if you desire, with Dipping Sauce.

Serves 8 to 12.
