Pinwheel Appetizer Recipe

Easy, Attractive Roast Beef Appetizer
for the Party

There's something about a pinwheel appetizer recipe that makes it look like you spent hours preparing it. This is a zippy roast beef appetizer, an easy and attractive addition to the party menu.

Sliced roast beef can be purchased from your local deli, warehouse market or better grocer without the fuss of preparing a roast yourself. Enjoy Roast Beef Pinwheels.

Roast Beef Pinwheels

4 large, thin slices medium-rare roast beef
1/2 cup cream cheese
1-2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, or to taste

Whip the cream cheese with a fork until soft. Stir in the horseradish. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the slices of roast beef.

Starting at a narrow end, roll each slice tightly and wrap them individually in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

To finish the Pinwheels, unwrap the rolls and slice into 1/2 slices. Arrange them on a serving platter. Makes 36 to 48 appetizers.

Notes:

  • Using horseradish sauce in the Roast Beef Pinwheels recipe, rather than straight prepared horseradish, cuts the zippiness but, also, the flavor of the recipe a bit.
  • Smaller slices of roast beef can be used in a pinch; just make more "rolls" and slice them a little thicker.
