Sucker Punch Recipe

Sucker Punch Recipe, GreatPartyRecipes.com

Careful! The Sucker Punch recipe really packs a wallop, right in the kisser.

The surprise comes, not just from the kick, but from the unabashed combination of 3 spirits (rum, vodka, tequila) and 2 liqueurs (orange and almond.) And, oh yes... some fruit juice. Go easy!

One reader describes this punch as "amazing" saying, "5 or 6 sips in you still can't nail down a single flavor in it because it tastes different every sip."

Sucker Punch

This recipe is so strong, you can easily add extra juice(s) without harming the punch. It serves 10 to 14 guests for an average party.

1 12-ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 12-ounce can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
1 12-ounce can frozen pineapple juice concentrate
1 cup rum
1 cup vodka
1 cup tequila
1 cup orange liqueur
1 cup almond liqueur
12 cups (3 quarts) club soda
Ice mold

Chill all ingredients well before mixing.

Combine the orange, cranberry, and pineapple juice concentrates in a large punch bowl.

Stir in the rum, vodka, tequila, and liqueurs.

Add the club soda last, just before serving.

Float an ice mold. Garnish with citrus slices, if desired.

Makes about 40 4-ounce servings.

Sucker Punch for 50 to 65 Guests

5 12-ounce cans frozen orange juice concentrate
5 12-ounce cans frozen cranberry juice concentrate
5 12-ounce cans frozen pineapple juice concentrate
5 cups each rum, vodka, tequila, orange liqueur and almond liqueur
15 quarts club soda

Notes:

  • For the liquor, a one liter bottle is about 4 1/2 cups; that will do fine. But most liquor comes in a 750 mil bottle; you'll need about 1 2/3 750 mil bottles of each.
  • Chill everything but keep the club soda especially cold, on ice, or it will be messy.
  • Mix the liquors ahead of time, if you like, and stir together 1 can of each juice, 5 cups of the liquor-mix, and 3 quarts of club soda for every batch.
